Roland launches Bridge Cast One dual bus streaming mixer

Roland has launched the latest addition to its Bridge Cast range of online gaming and livestreaming products. The Roland Bridge Cast One delivers professional audio mixing tools in a compact desktop interface for online gamers and content creators.

Compact design

The Bridge Cast One is a powerful desktop connection hub for streamers. With it you can simplify your setup and improve your content with professional Roland sound. Despite its scaled-down footprint and focused controls, the Bridge Cast One still delivers the primary audio features of the larger Bridge Cast and Bridge Cast X models.

In addition, the onboard DSP (Digital Signal Processor) handles the audio load, so your computer’s power is saved for gaming and streaming.

Simplified workflow

The Roland Bridge Cast One’s panel features a large control dial, five buttons and a dedicated headphone level control. By pressing the dial, you can cycle through three different level control assignments. You can also assign the three buttons under the dial to operate many different functions. In addition, the other two buttons provide fast access to the voice transformer and the Game EQ on/off and preset selection.

Independent sound mixes

With the Bridge Cast One, you can easily create independent sound mixes for personal monitoring and online streaming. Your personal mix can prioritize game audio and voice chat, while the stream mix can be optimized for maximum viewer engagement.

The XLR input also features a high-quality preamp with ample gain and selectable phantom power. This means you can use broadcast-grade mics without needing an external level-boosting device.

Virtual surround sound

The Bridge Cast One provides 5.1 or 7.1 virtual surround sound for headphones and stereo speaker systems. Powered by advanced Roland technology, your computer audio is converted to virtual surround sound and output via the USB connection. Roland says that this delivers a powerful and immersive sound experience. You can also adjust the virtual speakers through the Bridge Cast app. In addition, Roland has announced that this feature will also be added to the Bridge Cast and Bridge Cast X models with an upcoming system update.

Bridge Cast app

Using the Bridge Cast means you can unlock even more features for additional real-time control while streaming. You can adjust microphone settings, apply audio processing, tweak voice transformer settings, set up Game EQ presets, and more. In addition, the BGM Cast service gives you direct access to a high-quality, royalty-free music library. With a free Roland account, you get dozens of background music tracks and sound effects to use at no charge. However, signing up for Roland Cloud Core membership unlocks thousands of additional music tracks and hundreds of sound effects.

What we think

The Bridge Cast One is ideal for gamers, streamers, and content creators who are buying their first desktop interface. Roland has managed to pack the main features of its Bridge Cast and Bridge Cast X into a compact and simple-to-use design. It’s also great that you can add a professional-grade XLR microphone without the need for an external preamp.
