PTZOptics has launched the newest addition to its range of fixed cameras. The PTZOptics Studio 4K offers 4K resolution and a 12X or 20X optical zoom.
Unmatched 4K video
PTZOptics Studio 4K camera has a 1/2.8-inch 8 MP CMOS sensor which can deliver UHD 4K video up to 60 frames per second (fps) over HDMI and 60 fps in 1080 HD over SDI. The Studio 4K can also output video over USB-C up to 30 fps in UHD 4K.
In addition, the camera supports video over IP and comes native with NDI HX2. NDI HX2 is a royalty-free technology that allows video to be transmitted over Ethernet networks. This output has a maximum resolution of 60 fps, again in UHD 4K.
20X zoom
PTZOptics Studio 4K camera is available with either a 20X or a 12X optical zoom lens. These lenses have focal lengths of 4.7 mm to 94 mm and 4.1 mm to 49.2 mm respectively. PTZOptics says that this means you can capture a head-and-shoulders shot of your subject from up to 90 feet away. As a result, the Studio 4K camera is ideal for streaming municipal meetings, worship services, sports, and security applications. The camera is also courtroom-friendly as a fixed device.
Other features
PTZOptics Studio 4K camera can be used as a standalone camera or as an addition to a larger studio setup. The company says the Studio 4K camera is the perfect companion to a Move SE or Move 4K multi-camera setup.

It’s also Hive-Linked, which provides an instant connection to PTZOptics’ easy-to-use online platform, Hive Studio. Hive Studio combines professional-grade camera control with real-time switching and recording.
“Our customers are thrilled about the release of the Studio 4K, noting its exceptional video quality and affordability,” said Paul Richards, chief revenue officer of PTZOptics. “The recently shared test footage highlights this camera as one of the sharpest in its category. What truly sets the Studio 4K apart is its comprehensive feature set, embodying everything that makes PTZOptics cameras stand out – including seamless compatibility with the ever-expanding PTZOptics ecosystem of partners like vMix, OBS, NDI, and Zoom.”
