NAB 2025: Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub wins Best Mobile Storage

Congratulations to Lexar; the Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub is out pick for the Best Mobile Storage at NAB 2025.

Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub is designed for iPhone 15 users — especially the iPhone 15 Pro or Max models — who want to capture 4K 60 fps Apple ProRes footage and edit directly from the drive.

Compact in size, but has a big capacity

Weighing just 13 grams and measuring under two inches in length, this drive offers capacities up to 2 TB. It’s barely larger than a thumb but promises room to store hours of 4K video.

For those who need speedy backups or quick transfers, Lexar says it achieves read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s.

Hub-based convenience

The hub includes four USB-C ports. Lexar says it’s easy to connect extra gear like lights, mics or power banks. Adapters and cables come in the box, plus a cold shoe adapter for added flexibility. You can also detach the SSD from the hub if you need to keep things extra light on location.

Cable-free mobility

This drive plugs straight into a device with its USB-C connector, so you don’t always need extra cords.

If you do need extensions, Lexar packs in a male-to-female adapter. This system may benefit on-the-go content creators who want less clutter on set.

Ready for adventure

Lexar says the SSD is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, so it can handle occasional splashes or dust in the field. It’s also rated to survive drops of up to one meter. A silicone case provides even more protection, which could help when traveling between shoots.

Built for fast workflows

With support for USB 3.2 Gen 2, the hub can transfer data up to 10 Gbps. Lexar aims for a smooth workflow by letting users record directly onto the drive and then edit without copying files elsewhere.

For content creators who need a lighter load, this drive-and-hub combo might make a difference.

Pricing and availability

The Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub is out now. The 1 TB version costs $240, and the 2 TB version costs $249.
