The CONNECT is a module for the Ninja V and Ninja V+ and is relatively easy to set up. It plugs directly into these monitor/recorders and it’s ready to go. To use the CONNECT, you do have to have access to camera-to-cloud or have access to a similar cloud service.
ATOMOS CONNECT overview
According to the company, the CONNECT is the “ultimate” accessory for the NINJA V and NINJA V+, representing ” a ground-breaking innovation for the NINJA product line.” Essentially, the CONNECT allows you to connect your devices on set and sync and control them using AirGlu.
How does it work?
The ATOMOS CONNECT fits to the back of the NINJA V/V+ models and features a 12G SDI interface. Once fitted to the monitors, it leverages ATOMOS AirGlu wireless timecode for seamless synchronizing all of your cameras. Additionally, it offers multiple power options, accommodating a variety of on-set situations.
Also, the CONNECT supports Wi-Fi 6, network Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth LE capabilities, making for a variety of connection options.
Once it’s attached to the NINJA V/ V+, the CONNECT turns professional cinema, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras into fully integrated devices that support cloud-based workflows.
