Now that Frame.io is integrated into DaVinci Resolve 16, those with the latest version of Davinci Resolve will be able to access the Frame.io toolset directly in-program. They will have access to the entire Frame.io workspace in DaVinci Resolve. Plus, there is support for automatic syncing with “frame-accurate comments” and “strait-forward” media exports, according to Frame.io.

Here is a video from Frame.io explaining integration:

The Frame.io API is now publicly available

Frame.io also revealed today that it’s API is now open to everyone:

“This NAB, we’re rolling out our biggest updates yet, and we’re starting with making our API public. Now, our users can further streamline their video workflow to fit their exact needs,” says Emery Wells, co-founder and CEO of Frame.io.

With the release of the API, Frami.io says you can develop an integration, plug into an existing one built by one of their launch partners, or instantly connect Frame.io to over 1,300 apps using Zapier. Currently, the partner list includes: Kyno, Sliverstack Lab, ShotPut Pro, LumaFusion, GNARBOX, Restream, and of course DaVinci Resolve.

Additionally, Frame.io announced its Developer Platform

Also being showcased at NAB is Frame.io’s Developer Platform. The Developer Platform is a workbench that enables video teams, no matter the size, to plan their ideal workflow.
