Promise’s TD-300 Thunderbolt 3 Dock has Five USB 3.0 Ports

Promise today has announced that there's a new addition to their lineup of Rich Media solutions and that new addition is a new Thunderbolt 3 dock called the TD-300. The kind of things that Promise says you’ll be able to do on the new TD-300 include things like adding two 4K displays, charge your devices, daisy-chain Thunderbolt 3 hard drives, and connecting USB devices, and transfer SD card content all over a single connection.

The TD-300 is said feature five USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an audio in/out port and an HDMI 2.0 PORT. The port’s also said to have transfer speeds of 40Gb/s and deliver up to 60W of power when charging a MacBook Pro.

Promise believes this dock is an ideal choice for small offices or home offices and also an ideal complement to their Pegasus3 desktop RAID storage unit.

"As part of our mission to offer solutions that are optimized for rich media workflows, we're constantly expanding our portfolio of innovative solutions that harness the latest technology," said Vijay Char, president, Promise Technology USA. "The addition of a Thunderbolt 3 dock brings a new level of efficiency and flexibility to creative professionals. Laptops can be charged at the fastest speeds possible, images from DSLR cameras are easily transferred, peripherals such as hard drives and monitors can be daisy-chained for increased productivity, 4K video can be sent to multiple displays, and more. The possibilities are truly endless."

Though there are already a number of Thunderbolt 3 docks available, Promise believes the TD-300 dock will stand out because it has a good number of ports and includes an SD card slot.

You can get the TD-300 through Promise's website or through Amazon for $249.
