Although they don’t yet have a camcorder that supports it, JVC has announced the first Dual Layer blank media for DVD camcorders. The 2.6 GB discs should let you catch more of the action without reloading. In fact, at 55 minutes it’ll be more akin to miniDV’s lengthy recording times. JVC’s new discs certainly won’t work with their current Everio camcorder lineup, so we’ll have to wait and see.
