Neal Manowirz takes over as president at Sony Electronics NA

All of us here at Videomaker want to take a moment and congratulate Neal Manowirz for his appointment to President and Chief Operating Officer at Sony Electronics, Inc. North America. We’ve spent time with Neal at many Sony events. We’re confident Neil is the perfect pick for the position.

“I am thrilled to be placed at the helm of Sony Electronics,” says Neal Manowirz. “This month will mark my 25th anniversary with Sony and I am honored and humbled to be asked to step forward and lead the best team in the industry.”

He will be taking over the position as Mike Fasulo, Sony’s current President and COO in North America, is retiring. Fasulo began working at Sony 37 years ago and accomplished a lot in his position. Mike Fasulo will officially retire on April 1st, 2021.

Neal Manowirz will soon lead Sony Electronics, NA

Neal Manowitz has over 25 years of experience with Sony Electronics. He currently works as the Deputy President, Imaging Products and Solutions—Americas for Sony Electronics. In his position, he is responsible for Sony’s imaging and professional businesses. So, he works with a wide variety of markets. Also, he previously worked as the head of Sony Electronics’ Home Audio and Video business group.

“Neal’s 25 years of service to Sony have been defined by his remarkable performance,” says Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President and CEO, Sony Corporation. “He will further contribute to enhancing Sony’s value in the North American market as a creative entertainment company with a solid foundation of technology.”

After spending time with Neal, we know he is both qualified for the position and an all around great person. So, we’re excited to see what he’s going to accomplish in his new leadership role at Sony.

A farewell to Mike Fasulo

He joined Sony in 1984 as a financial analyst. He worked his way up in the company, holding several leadership positions. As President & COO, Mike Fasulo oversaw Sony Electronics’ across North America. Once he leaves Sony, he plans to serve as a Trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Additionally, he will serve as an immediate past chairman of the executive board of the Consumer Technology Association.
