The professional iPhone mobile video editing application, LumaFusion, is getting a major update. Luma Touch announced version 2.4 of the LumaFusion and adds full HDR support with 10-bit processing to the application.
LumaFusion v2.4’s new features
In the newest version of the LumaFusion, there’s a few new features that aim to help editors to utilize their camera’s technology in the editing room. Of course, this includes HDR support with 10-bit processing and export. So you can create projects for HLG, PQ P3, and Rec-709 10-bit color spaces. HDR media capture from camera, drones, and the iPhone 12 Pros are all supported by the app. Additionally, you can now export complex animations with transparency, allowing you to overlay them in projects.
Additionally, Luma Touch has added a new chroma and luma keyer. The new chroma keyer offers automatic key color detection along with mask display, and advanced Erosion and spill suppression controls. As for the luma keyer, with luma range, it features roll-off, erosion, and edge blur radius controls.
Lastly, the LumaFusion now has automatic project settings like frame aspect, frame rate, and colorspace. These settings can now be automatically set when the first clip is added into the time. Also, the app has offered support for Limited Photos Access in iOS 14, so more media can be selected from the menu button in the library.
