iZotope is launching RX 7 Advance with new enhancements like Dialogue Contour and Multi-channel support. Also, the company’s releasing an updated Insight 2 with a new Intelligibility Meter.
RX 7 Advanced
The RX 7 Advanced targets those who want a faster fix for their audio issues. The software now has deeper control over dialogue and features speedy workflow enhancements, according to iZotope. Here are a few of the highlights of the new version:
Dialogue Contour – This feature lets you reshape the intonation of dialogue to hopefully improve the audio track. The Dialogue Contour tool is powered by pitch correction and makes adjustments to inflection.
Dialogue De-reverb – If there’s unwanted reverb in your audio, you can reduce or remove it with this feature. It uses a trained algorithm that can separate spoken dialogue from reverberant signal content.
Pro Tools AudioSuite plug-ins – The AudioSuite has new plug-ins that can speed up the fixing process – plug-ins like De-Rustle and Dialogue Isolate.
Multi-channel support – You can work to fix audio issues in every surround channel up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.2.
Insight 2
iZotope says Insight 2 has been completely overhauled to provide more “thoroughly modern metering.” Here’s what’s been changed and added:
New Intelligibility Meter – Insight 2’s Intelligibility Meter measures the intelligibility of dialogue compared to the rest of the mix.
A new look – The user interface can be customized and resized.
Multi-channel support – You can analyze audio in surround sound up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.2.
Global loudness standard support – Additionally, you can set loudness to the standards – which include EBU R128, BS.1770-1, BS.1770-2/3/4, ATSC A/85, and OP-59.
