We talk about pre-production and whether or not anyone really needs it. Spoiler alert, most of the time, everyone does, but not everyone needs to do every step.

To be honest, we thought this was a topic no one would really be all that interested in, including us, but it became clear throughout our conversation that we’re more into pre-production than we thought.

  1. Love your stuff. Use it to show my students that I’m not the only one preaching the lessons. Quick question. Each of you uses a different microphone and headphone to record. Reasons? Did everyone bring in there own favorite stuff; was this what your crew had available; was this combination what your audio person figured out had the best sound quality results for each voice?
