The terms of the agreement give Sony Creative Software a non-exclusive license to SmartSound's patents 5,693,902 and 5,877,445, which allow for the automatic editing of music to fit user-specified lengths. SmartSound's patented technology has been used to develop innovative soundtrack creation solutions such as its award-winning Sonicfire Pro product line. SmartSound's patent license agreement covers Cinescore, as well as any current or future products, which bundle or integrate Cinescore and its component technology modules.
