Adobe Helps Students at Cannes

SAN JOSE, Calif. May 8, 2007 Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced that it is teaming with Vancouver Film School and Intel on Reel Ideas Studio, a global program to bring together student and professional filmmakers during the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival taking place May 16 to 27 in Cannes, France. The Reel Ideas Studio program features two documentary film competitions and an online community at reelideasstudio.com , where participants and winners will be highlighted. "More than any other medium, the moving image adds impact and meaning to the delivery of ideas across geographies and cultures, said Jim Guerard, vice president and general manager of Dynamic Media for Adobe. "Adobe, Vancouver Film School and Intel are committed to fueling the passion and imagination that drives students and filmmakers to create deep and engaging connections with viewers. We invite everyone to participate in the competition and log on to Reel Ideas Studio to view the amazing talent of these emerging filmmakers. Vancouver Film School and Adobe will be holding an online documentary film competition recognizing the best three-to-five minute short subject films created as part of the Reel Ideas Studio Online Community. Films will focus on topics concerning the local regions of the teams. The deadline to register a complete team is May 16 and all documentaries must be posted to the reelideasstudio.com site in Adobe Flash video by 4:00 p.m. GMT on May 23.
