Ulead Systems, Inc., a leading developer of video editing, image editing, and DVD authoring software, and ADS Tech, a world leader in Universal Serial Bus and IEEE-1394/FireWire solutions for the PC, completed a worldwide agreement to include a special edition of VideoStudio 7, Ulead video editing and DVD creation software, with its recently announced DVD Xpress. DVD Xpress, a compact, USB 2.0 external MPEG-2 capture device bundled with VideoStudio 7 SE DVD, enables consumers to easily capture, edit and transform video into DVD movies in minutes.
This deal complements additional agreements to bundle two new ADS real-time DVD video capture devices with Ulead video and DVD authoring software. VideoStudio 7 SE DVD and DVD MovieFactory 2 SE, DVD authoring software with “Disc-Direct” technology for capturing video on the fly and burning directly to DVD, are included with ADS Tech’s recently-announced Instant DVD 2.0 and Instant DVD+DV. This series of agreements underlines ADS Tech and Ulead’s commitment to offering consumers an integrated software and hardware solution that lets them quickly and easily capture, edit and turn videos into professional-looking DVDs and CDs, complete with text, music and a multi-layer DVD menu navigation.
“We’re pleased that ADS Tech has chosen to include VideoStudio 7 SE DVD with its latest DVD device technology,” says Colin Stiles, director of OEM Sales at Ulead Systems, North America. “The marriage of our easy-to-use video and DVD creation software with ADS Tech’s innovative DVD video capture devices, gives consumers all the tools they need in one box to create sophisticated movies on DVDs or CDs.”
“After evaluating various video editing and DVD creation software programs, we chose DVD VideoStudio 7 SE DVD for its user-friendly interface and innovative DVD technology,” says Mike McCoy, president ADS Tech. “By including VideoStudio 7 SE DVD with our latest DVD devices, we are providing our customers with an integrated hardware and software solution that helps them transfer legacy video from numerous sources to create edited DVD movies that they’re proud to share with family and friends.”
