Canopus Announces Two New Realtime Editing Systems

Realtime Editing Stations, Canopus Corporation today announced the RES-150
and the new RES Flex Series, a new line of custom configurable video editing
workstations. Available later this month, these new workstations unite
stability with cutting-edge CPU and digital video technology to provide a
solid, stable foundation for video editing.

At the heart of the RES systems is the acclaimed DVStorm2, with hardware
MPEG encoding and StormBay breakout box, to deliver unmatched realtime
performance, including five simultaneous video streams, unlimited title and
graphics layers, 3D effects, MPEG encoding and DV output. The RES systems
also provide realtime color correction with waveform/vectorscope, variable
speed control, the industry’s leading DV chroma key, auto white balance,

The RES-150
The RES-150, starting at $5,499, is powered by an Intel Pentium 4 3GHz
processor with Hyper-Threading Technology, 1GB of DDR memory, a 40GB system
drive and a 160GB disk array (for more than 10 hours of storage), an Nvidia
GeForce4 dual-monitor capable video card, a Pioneer DVD-R/RW drive and an
ADS Tech PYRO three-port FireWire card to allow capture from three cameras
simultaneously. The RES-150 comes with a professional software bundle,
including Canopus StormEdit, Canopus Imaginate, Adobe Premiere 6.5, Adobe
After Effects 5.5, Canopus Xplode Professional 4.0, Canopus PhotoAlbum2.0,
Sonic Foundry Acid Style and a full version of Ulead DVD Workshop with AC3
encoding, to make this powerful editing system an excellent value.

RES Flex Series
