Reprinted from an CyberLink press release:

CyberLink Corp., a leading developer of digital video software and e-learning solutions, announced toady the total wizard style software that enables anyone to produce home movies & photo slideshows. This latest development offers step-by-step guide for users with little time or knowledge of video editing and burning, to produce movies and photos onto CDs or DVDs. With PowerProducer, in just 3 easy steps, users can import photo or video files from video capturing devices, then perform basic editing functions like adding special effects and creating chapters to the video clip. It also features the QuickBurn solution, a one-click step to capture video from DV camcorders directly into DVD disks.

According to the Jon Peddie reports, over 1.3 million DVD Recordable drives were shipped in 2001 and anticipated to swell to over 30 million by 2004. Digital video applications will be one of the stimuli for Media recording growth, stated Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink Corp. Home users would want to store their home videos into lasting digital disks. Yet they need software solutions with the least learning curve to produce home DVDs or CDs for sharing and storing. PowerProducer is exactly the software to fulfill this need.

PowerProducer is designed with the users in mind. Based on the HTML interface, it features a wizard-style interface with detailed instructions and information to guide users start to finish. According to Alex Weng, Product Manager of PowerProducer, Even first timers will be able to produce movies with PowerProducer. We want to give them the best out-of-the-box experience.

Main Features of PowerProducer

  • Complete Wizard-based Interface : The interface features complete guidance through out the whole movie making process. Even the first-timers will be able to operate with ease.
  • Auto-File Separation: Users may pre-set a maximum file size limit, so that PowerProducer will then record until it reached that size and then continue recording subsequent files. A convenient feature for recording large files automatically.
