A new big brother to Pinnacle Studio (Version 8 is anticipated this summer), Pinnacle Edition promises to combine next-generation video editing software with Pinnacle’s renowned production technology.

Designed for corporate video professionals and ardent hobbyists, Pinnacle Edition is designed to offer professional results in quick turnaround times.

Pinnacle Edition is anticipated to include several features. Multiple capture options will allow direct video transfer from DV and Digital8 camcorders, VCRs and televisions to Pinnacle Edition’s timeline or your hard drive. Editing features are slated to include fast and slow motion, music, integrated voiceovers, TitleDeko title generator, Hollywood FX 3D effects and transitions and real-time previews.

In addition, Pinnacle Edition users will have the ability to burn DVDs, VCDs, SVCDs and DLTs directly from the timeline.

An end-of-May release and $699 MSRP for Pinnacle Edition are expected.
