CAMPBELL, CA and TORONTO, ONT – May 12, 2000 – MGI Software (TSE:MGI), a
leader in digital video, today announced that it has signed a worldwide
licensing agreement for VideoWave with Gateway Computer Corporation (NYSE:
GTW). Effective immediately, Gateway will ship MGI’s award-winning video
publishing software on the Gateway Solo 9300 CX portable computer. The
agreement marks the fourth such deal in as many months with the world’s
leading PC makers for MGI’s market leading video software. No financial
terms were disclosed.

that MGI has closed several top-tier OEM agreements in the preceding months
