Gemini 1x1 Hard light panel
Litepanel

Typical lighting solutions force users to pick between soft or hard light. The Litepanels Gemini 1×1 Hard, a new powerful 1×1 RGBWW LED Panel, doesn’t make you choose.

Essentially both a soft and hard light panel, the Gemini 1×1 Hard delivers a brightness output of 3,000 lux at 10ft (3m) at a 46° beam angle. This is an extremely bright output—making the Gemini 1X1 Hard one of the brightest 1×1 fixtures available. Without its diffuser, Gemini 1×1 Hard emits raw light 20 percent more powerful than a 100W HMI, according to Litepanels. Additionally, when needed, you can soften the panel’s beam with the included ultralight and domed diffuser for a gentler light to dark transition.

Gemini 1×1 Hard light panel focuses on color accuracy

The Gemini 1×1 Hard is an RGBWW panel. RGBWW panels are highly flexible because they have broad color customization and still have a bright yet accurate output. The light can switch between daylight and tungsten white light and offers a CRI and TLCI rating of 98. Additionally, the panel emits white light at color temperatures from 2700 to 10,000K. That’s with no color shifter or filler at any frame rate, shutter angle, or intensity from 100-0.1 percent.

Also, the light panel offers control over 16 million colors, 300 gels, and 11 customizable special effects on the creative side.

Litepanels designed a rugged fixture

Litepanel claims the Gemini 1×1 Hard is “tough enough to meet the rigorous demands of daily set life in the studio or on location.” The fixture weighs just 3.2lbs (6kg). So, it should be reasonably easy to travel with the panel. Also, Litepanels says the panel is made with industry-standard “durable, robust materials.”

Battery details

The light panel can either run with a single battery or a dual battery setup. Its optional Gemini Gold Mount Plus Dual Battery Mounting Plate attaches two Dionic 26V batteries.
