Nanlite has launched two new 750 W lights for video makers. The Nanlite FC-720B is a bi-color fixture and the Nanlite FC-720C adds full color output based on Nanlite’s advanced color-mixing technology.
Wide CCT range
The bi-color Nanlite FC-720B has a wide color temperature range from 2,700 K to 6,500 K. With the full color FC-720C, you get an even wider CCT range from 2,400 K to 12,000 K. It also offers plus or minus 150 green/magenta adjustment. Both lights deliver color accurate output as well. The FC-720B has an average CRI of 96 and TLCI of 98, while the FC-720C has an average CRI of 95 and TLCI of 94.
Photometrics
You can adjust the output of the FC-720B and FC-720C from 0% to 100% in 0.1% increments for smooth and precise dimming. With the included 45-degree reflector, the FC-720B has a maximum output of 12,690 lux at 3 meters (9.8 feet) when set to 5,600 K. At the same settings and distance, the FC-720C has a slightly lower maximum output of 11,400 lux. Alternatively, using just the green output, the FC-720C delivers a maximum output of 3,700 lux, again at 3 meters.
FC-720B output modes
The Nanlite FC-720B has the choice of two output options when you use it in CCT mode. With Maximum Output Mode, the light outputs the maximum brightness possible for a chosen color temperature. As a result the light’s intensity will vary as you change the temperature in Kelvin.
Alternatively, in Constant Output Mode, the intensity will remain consistent as you change the color temperature. This means that you can adjust the temperature in Kelvin without affecting the exposure of your scene. The maximum output for some color temperatures will be reduced, however.
FC-720C output modes
The full color Nanlite FC-720C gives you four output modes to choose between. It has a CCT mode like the FC-720B. You can also use HSI mode where you can adjust the hue, saturation and intensity which provides 36,000 color options. Alternatively, RGBW mode offers individual control of each of the red, green, blue and white channels. In addition, the FC-720C has a gel mode. This gives you the choice of 460 LEE and Rosco gels so that you can select a specific color output.
Effects modes
The Nanlite FC-720B has 12 built-in special effects with adjustable parameters. These effects are CCT loop, intensity loop, flash, pulse, storm, TV, paparazzi, candle/fire, bad bulb, firework, explosion and welding. With the FC-720C, you get all of these effects as well as three color effect options. These are hue loop, police car and disco.

Controls
You can control the FC-720B and FC-720C via the on-board knobs and buttons with the output and modes clearly displayed on the built-in 2-inch display. Alternatively, you can wirelessly control the lights with the Nanlink App 2.0. Plus, the FC-720B and FC-720C both offer DMX/RDM control via the built-in five-pin XLR DMX in and out ports.
Construction
The Nanlite FC-720B weighs 9.52 pounds (4.32 kg) while the FC-720C is a little heavier at 9.77 pounds (4.43 kg). Both lights feature a standard Bowens mount so you use a wide range of compatible accessories and modifiers. The mount yokes also supports full 360-degree tilt of the lamp heads.
Additionally, the cooling fans on the FC-720B and FC-720C have four modes to control fan noise. These are Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed and Off. Nanlite says that in Smart mode, the fan noise is only 26 dB(A) so you shouldn’t have any issues when capturing live audio. However, the maximum power of the lights is capped at 50% in Low Speed mode and only 10% with the fan off.
What we think
Nanlite’s new FC-720B and FC-720C are feature packed lights that deliver a good level of output at a competitive price. They offer equivalent levels of performance to similarly priced offerings from Amaran and are significantly cheaper than Aputure branded lights with the same specifications. Nanlite have also done well to keep the maximum output of the full color FC-720C so close to that of the bi-color FC-720B. As such, the extra flexibility of the FC-720C seems well worth the additional initial outlay. However, whether you are looking for a bi-color or a full color light, the Nanlite FC-720B and FC-720C should be on your shortlist.
Pricing and availability
Nanlite says that the FC-720C is scheduled to be available in February 2026 with a retail price of $749. The bi-color FC-720B will follow in April 2026 priced at $649.
