Following in the footsteps of the previously released Saramonic Blink 500 Pro wireless microphone system, the Blink 500 ProX offers a robust yet easy-to-use audio solution for video producers. With this new iteration, Saramonic promises a more compact design, less latency, improved reliability and better audio quality overall.
The Saramonic Blink 500 ProX B2 includes two clip-on transmitters and a dual-channel receiver, along with two lavalier microphones. Thus, this affordable digital wireless microphone system allows creators, documentarians and filmmakers to capture two people’s voices with one system.
A versatile system
The Blink 500 ProX transmitters feature built-in omnidirectional microphones and can be clipped directly to the talent’s wardrobe. Or, connect external lavalier microphones via a 3.5 mm input jack to use the transmitters as traditional belt packs. Just as versatile, the Blink 500 ProX dual-channel receiver mounts to cameras and mobile devices. Output options include a 3.5 mm TRS jack and USB-C connection. The system transmits audio in mono or stereo.
In another upgrade, this mic system boasts OLED displays for key information like battery status, mute status and audio level, along with real-time audio metering. Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the Blink 500 ProX promises low-latency transmission and automatic channel switching to avoid interference. It can transmit up to 328 feet with line of sight.
Extended battery life
With this new wireless microphone system, Saramonic has also included a portable charging case. The case can recharge the system up to three times. With around 10 hours of use per charge, Saramonic promises up to 35 hours of total on-the-go battery life.
