MSI just released a touchscreen version of the Creator 15

MSI announced the newest iteration of its Creator 15 laptop. The new model comes with the option of a touchscreen laptop and 4K panels.

This is the first touchscreen laptop in the MSI Creators Series. It’s exciting to see MSI incorporate touchscreen functionality into the Creators Series. Touchscreen capabilities allow video editors and designers to quickly do tasks and commands without needing to key shortcuts. Additionally, MSI said the new model “boasts up to a 40% performance boost.”

The first touchscreen Creator laptop: MSI Creator 15

According to MSI, the touchscreen version of the Creator 15 is intended for design professionals working in animation, film, and even web design. “Our users are accustomed to using touchscreens daily on their smartphones, tablets and watches, and have come to expect them when buying new products,” said Andy Tung, CEO of MSI USA.

MSI Creator 15 overview

The new model sports the latest 10 Gen Intel Core i7-10875H series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX SUPER GPU. The laptop uses the MSI True Pixel Display with AdobeRGB 100% color gamut and Delta-E < 2 color accuracy in terms of color. To avoid overheating, Creator 15 uses MSI Cooler Boost Technology with 0.1mm fan blades.

To charge its battery, the laptop uses the “largest” 99.9 Whr battery for a 9-hour battery life, according to MSI. Additional features include facial recognition and fingerprint login, Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a full-size SD card reader.

Design

MSI keeps the design thin with a 15.6-inch, solid aluminum chassis and a sandblasted, carbon gray finish. Additionally, the Creator 15 features a 180° lay-flat hinge design and a flip-n-share function. These are important features for touchscreen laptops to have because they allow you to adjust the positioning of the laptop if you need to.

Pricing and availability

You can pre-order the Creator 15 with touchscreen functionality now. A non-touch, 4K version is available as well.
