MicroSD EVO Plus can store 24 hours of 4K video

Samsung has just launched the new multi-device flexible MicroSD EVO Plus storage card, targeting creators who shoots lots of video on many different devices

This tiny card can hold up to 512 GB, allowing you to save content from smartphones, cameras, tablets and drones. It’s equipped with a full-sized SD card adapter for multi-device flexibility. With the right phone, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it can increase phone storage to 1 TB capacities. It can hold up to 24 hours of 4K UHD video, 78 hours of Full-HD video and can hold up to 150,300 photos.

How fast?

The MicroSD EVO offers read/write speeds of up to 100/90 MB/s. Samsung even says the cards are so fast and efficient, you can play footage on 4K TVs or monitors without any delay.

“4-proof protection” adds durability

Each card is built with what Samsung calls “4-proof protection.” The cards can reportedly withstand extreme conditions like being submerged in seawater and being exposed to extreme temperatures and magnetic fields. Plus, it comes with a 10 year warranty if anything goes wrong.

Pricing and availability

The new Samsung MicroSDXC EVO Plus card also comes in 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB capacities, in addition to the 512 GB version. This top-end card goes for $199. You can learn more at samsung.com.
