LumaFusion, a popular iOS mobile editing platform, just received a significant update — adding new features to further the app’s editing capabilities. Every new feature in LumaFusion v3.0 is free to use, so if you already have LumaFusion, you won’t have to pay to upgrade.
Let’s take a look at the top features LumaTouch added to LumaFusion.
LumaFusion now supports video stabilization
LumaFusion v3.0 adds video stabilization — allowing you to stabilize camera shake inside the app. LumaTouch worked with CoreMelt to develop the app’s stabilization feature. The companies based the feature on CoreMelt’s Lock & Load stabilization technology, which automatically removes rolling shutter to stabilize videos.
External drive editing now possible with LumaFusion
The update employs the new USB4 port in the new iPad Pro, which enables external drive editing. This means you can now edit clips directly from external drives by connecting the iPad Pro to the device using USB-C. For those who need to edit longer videos, this will be a huge time saver.
New graphic EQ for audio
There’s also a new graphic EQ for audio, along with a new interface in v3.0. With the new interface, you can adjust and clean audio, boosting the overall audio quality.
Added plugin support
LumaFusion v3.0 brings back the app’s support for third-party AUv3 audio effect plugins. However, this time you can also choose and organize the plugins in the way you want them to appear in the app.
Pricing and availability
For those who already own LumaFusion, the update is already available for you to download. If you don’t have the app yet, the app is available in the App Store for $30. Unfortunately, the app is only available on iOS. Sorry, Android users.
