ViewSonic is showing off the new ViewSonic ColorPro VP16-OLED portable monitor this week at CES 2023. The creator-focused VP16-OLED promises accurate, high-quality color reproduction in a portable, ergonomic form factor.
Getting to know the ViewSonic ColorPro VP16-OLED
The new ViewSonic VP16-OLED features an OLED display with a 15.6-inch viewable area. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a full HD 1080p resolution. With 10-bit color space support, the VP12-OLED can reproduce 1.07 billion colors.
The monitor is Pantone Validated as well as factory calibrated. This ensures accurate color for filmmaking, photography and other color-critical work. ViewSonic says this allows the monitor to “deliver richer color uniformity and enhanced details, ensuring that it meets the demands of professional content creators.”
The VP16-OLED offers a static contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 20M:1. The glossy-finish monitor delivers a brightness of 400 nits. It has a response time of 1 ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Handy for group viewing situations common on production sets, the new monitor offers a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178 degrees.
A portable design
Along with rich, accurate color, the VP16-OLED also features a portable design. That means it works well on location, on set or in the studio. The monitor includes a built-in foldable stand that promises easy height adjustment.
When not in use, the stand folds up flat against the back of the monitor. For even more flexibility, the stand also features a tripod mount for use in the field. Additionally, the monitor is equipped with a screen protector that can also be used as a shading hood.
How does it connect?
The ViewSonic ColorPro VP16-OLED features two-way charging via its two USB-C ports. It also offers a mini-HDMI port along with a headphone jack.
