MSI unveiled a range of new laptops at CES 2023, including options for gaming, office work and more. For content creators, MSI launched the brand new Creator Z16 HX Studio.
We were quite impressed with this stylish laptop. The Creator Z16 HX Studio features a stylish, lightweight design that houses some powerful hardware. Let’s take a closer look.
Inside the Creator Z16 HX
The Creator Z16’s .72-inch thick CNC unibody chassis houses up to the latest 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor. This processor offers 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores for 24 total cores operating at up to 5.6GHz. To further support hefty content creation apps, the Creator Z16 HX can be equipped with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM.
For graphics processing, the new Creator laptop comes with up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. The laptop’s NVIDAStudio validation means it comes with Studio Drivers and AI-assisted tools.
Cooling the system is MSI’s Vapor Chamber Cooler, designed to reduce both noise and operating temperature. It promises both fast charging and long battery life with a 90 Whr battery. The variety of connection options includes Thunderbolt 4, an SD card reader and more.
The display
The Creator Z16 HX Studio follows what MSI has termed a “people-centric design philosophy.” In that spirit, the Creator laptop features a 16:10 touchscreen display. The True Pixel display follows the Golden Ratio while also providing 11 percent more workspace compared to screens with the more common 16:9 aspect ratio.
With a QHD+ resolution, the display also features a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and comes calibrated to Delta-E <2 with a CalMAN verification. This is great news for content creators who need reliable color accuracy for their work.
Pricing and availability
