BOXX launches new professional workstations with AMD Ryzen 9000 processors

BOXX Technologies is known for its innovative high-performance computer workstations, rendering systems and servers. The company has now announced that its APEXX, RAXX and FLEXX A-class workstations will feature AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors.

AMD Ryzen 9000

AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 processors are built on an advanced Zen 5 architecture, which delivers a significant upgrade over the previous 7000 series processors. With speeds up to 5.7 GHz, the Ryzen 9000 series features higher core counts with up to 16 cores and 32 threads. AMD has also refined its Zen architecture, resulting in higher IPC (instructions per cycle) and overall better single-threaded performance. In addition, Ryzen 9000 series processors support up to 192 GB DDR5 memory, offering higher bandwidth and lower latency compared to DDR4.

APEXX

Along with the latest AMD processors, the APEXX A3 subcompact tower features up to two professional-grade AMD Radeon Pro or NVIDIA RTX GPUs. The system also supports up to 192 GB of 5600 MHz DDR5 system memory. In addition, it delivers best-in-class connectivity like PCIe Gen 5.0, 2.5 GB Ethernet, and USB 4.0. The APEXX A3 comes with Crucial T705 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs for maximum graphics and storage throughput, and a 750-watt power supply. If you need even more power, the APEXX A4 has a larger form factor and a 1200-watt power supply.

RAXX and FLEXX

If you need a rack-mountable solution, the RAXX A1G comes with a 1U series chassis with a 1300-watt redundant power supply. However, it still features the same AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors and premium components as the APEXX workstations. In addition, the RAXX S1G accelerates 3D content creation team workflows from the data center with remote workstation technology. Alternatively, the FLEXX A1G platform is designed for remote workstation 3D content creators. It offers the same powerful AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processor in a high-density form factor optimized for data center deployment.

What we think

The new workstations from BOXX are built to run professional applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya and Cinema 4D. You can also configure your own purpose-built workstation so you can be sure it will meet your creative needs. In addition, BOXX has designed the systems to render and multitask faster while ensuring they are highly reliable. Premium quality comes with a premium price tag. However, you know you are getting a workstation ideally suited to your own particular workflow.

Pricing and availability

The new APEXX, RAXX and FLEXX workstations from BOXX are available to configure and buy now. As the systems are built to meet your needs, pricing will vary depending on your chosen specifications. However, BOXX has some recommended system configurations with listed prices. The recommended APEXX A3 is $3,982.00 and the APEXX A4 is $4,531.
