5 things to know about edelkrone’s JibONE v2 portable jib

edelkrone has announced the release of an upgraded and improved version of its portable motorized jib. edelkrone JibONE v2 has all the original model features and new features developed following customer feedback.

Here are five things you should know about the new jib.

1. There’s a new design

JibONE v2 is a motorized jib that mounts onto a tripod. When retracted, it is only 24 inches long and fits in the edelkrone backpack for carrying. However, you still get 1.64 feet of camera travel for cameras up to 11 pounds in weight. To use JibONE v2, you simply attach it to your tripod, extend the jib, put on your camera, and balance the counterweights. JibONE v2 comes with four specially designed 2.2-pound counterweights to balance your camera. It’s also a completely tool-free process.

2. More movement

You can set up JibONE v2 vertically for incline shots or horizontally for slider-like movements. Alternatively, you can also mix both axes for diagonal movement. You can easily create complex movements by positioning JibONE v2 by hand and saving each position as a keypose in the edelkrone app. JibONE v2 will then move automatically between your set positions with a single tap in the app.

3. Quality of life updates

One of the new features added to JibONE v2 is a physical on/off power button. edelkrone has also added an information screen and a more durable head plate. In addition, JibONE v2 has a better wireless connection with a longer range and the option for a fully wired connection with the addition of Link Port.

4. Lots of mounting options

You can attach any tripod head, edelkrone HeadPLUS v2, or HeadONE to JibONE v2. These can be attached upright or upside down with the jib’s 360-degree rotatable camera plate, even if the setup is for diagonal movement.

5. Compatible with the edelkrone ecosystem

When you use JibONE v2 with other edelkrone products such as HeadONE, HeadPLUS v2 and Pan PRO, you can create even more advanced automated movement sequences. These combinations give you options such as Auto Target Tracking as well as Face and Object Tracking. The app also detects your available devices and pairs with them automatically. This means you can control all your devices with a single screen. Alternatively, you can use the optional edelkrone Controller v2 remote control.

You can buy edelkrone JibONE v2 for $1,299 in the company’s official store.
