Mobcrush is exciting the mobile live streaming community after launching Mobcam, an app that lets users simultaneously stream to YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook and more — a first for mobile devices according to Mobcrush.
A Unified Way to Stream
What seems to be pretty awesome about the Mobcam is that not only does it let you stream to multiple social media platforms simultaneously, it also lets you view all comments in one unified chat regardless which platform the comments came from. It won’t be one jumbled mess of comments from different social platforms though. Comments will be sorted by platform.
Camera Settings and Adaptable Bitrates
The Mobcam does come with a few basic view settings, like switching between your phone’s front and back camera and muting and unmuting the mic. Also, if you don’t want to be bothered by everyone commenting, you can hide the unified chat if you want to as well.
Additionally, to keep things running smoothly, the Mobcam features bitrate adaptability, connectivity monitoring and multi-cast stream persistence.
So far, the reception for the MobCam is overwhelmingly positive
A pre-launch Beta test was held at 2018 VidCon Conference last week and over one thousand creators were able to try it out. It seems like the response from those that used it was very positive.
“We created Mobcam to liberate creators in ways that have never before been possible, and the response from our large-scale, pre-launch Beta has been overwhelmingly positive,” noted Mike Wann, CEO of Mobcrush. “It’s undeniable that Mobcam is a barrier-breaking innovation for creators in the live streaming eco-system.”
“I’ve been testing the Mobcam app for a few weeks now, and it’s been huge for me in several ways,” said Craig Skistimas, aka CraigSkitz, a veteran live streamer and the co-founder of GameAttack, a popular community within the Let’s Play Network. “The tech behind the Mobcrush service is way ahead of the curve. The ease of setting up my customized stream and simultaneously reaching all my followers across multiple platforms with a couple of clicks is a total game changer.”
Pricing and Availability
The Mobcam app is totally free! There currently is an iOS version in the App store right now. An Android version will be coming this summer.
