A vectorscope is the scientific way to look at the hue and saturation of every pixel in your shot. Once you understand how it works, it’s a very useful tool for color correction. While this scope looks a bit like a target, the actual term used to describe it is graticule. The collection of dots that represents your image is called the trace. The hue and saturation of a pixel determines where it falls on the graticule. Greg is going to give you a demonstration to help elaborate on how this works.
