The Zoom H5 Handy Recorder comes from Zoom, a leader in portable digital audio recorders, especially audio recorders for video production. Modeled after Zoom’s high-end, portable H6 audio recorder, the Zoom H5 features dual XLR/TRS combo jacks, both with their own gain control, pad switch and phantom power controls, and when it records, it records directly to SD cards, up to 32GB, with on-board compression, limiting and low-cut filtering. Also, you can use stereo line out to record audio right to your camera.

The Zoom H5 comes with a shock-mounted X/Y stereo mic capsule, but it can work with any of Zoom’s interchangeable modules.
