Pro Sound Effects has released next year’s version of their professional sound effect libraries, the Hybrid Library 2018 and Master Library 2018, and they’ve given them a few updates.

The new updates the Pro Sound Effects have added to their libraries include “access to the year’s freshest sound effects, additional credit to customize the library as needed with current or future releases, as well as a powerful search software update for instant workflow integration,” says Pro Sound.

“Sound is infinite. You never know what sonic story you will tell and what sounds you will need to impress your clients and engage the audience.” says Douglas Price, President of Pro Sound Effects. “We have crafted our general library offering to provide sound professionals with affordable access to the robust resources needed to deliver their best work in 2018 and beyond.”

Since 2016, Pro Sound Effects have added over 8,000 film sound effects to the Hybrid Library, which has a total of over 63,000 sounds. For Master Library, it reported that over 4,500 sound effect have been added this year.

Pro Sound Effects’ sound libraries has been noticed by a number of sound professionals, like Dick Maitland, who is known for his sound work on Sesame Street, and Will Files, who has worked as a sound designer, supervising sound editor, and re-recording mixer on projects like "War for the Planet of the Apes" and "Cloverfield."

You can see how the Hybrid Library works in a video, which was posted by Pro Sound Effects in the beginning of 2017:

“These are the kind of sounds that I’m always looking for. Everything has character and a great cinematic feel,” says Files. “I’m amazed by the variety, quality and organization.”

Pro Sound Effects offers different pricing for individuals and for creative companies. You can check out their pricings on their site, but know that the base price for the Hybrid Library is $1,495 annually and for the Master Library it’s $5,495 annually. Not cheap to say the least.
