Promise Technology revealed that will be showcasing a new NAS solution next week at the Broadcast India 2017 Show; their new NAS, the Vess A3340 Pro, is reported to be designed for small groups of users editing 4K video. Along with the Vess A3340 Pro, Promise will showcase its Pegasus3, SANLink 3 and VTrak A-Class storage solutions at the show as well.
 
Promise describes the new Vess A3340 Pro as an “ NAS appliance with a shared file system ready-made for the rich media segment. A turnkey "NAS-in-a-box" solution, the Vess A3340 Pro integrates a 3rd party solution that supports high-speed caching, auto-tiering and more.”
 
In regards to their upcoming presentation at Broadcast India, Promise says that “India is an incredibly dynamic rich media market as it accounts for one of the largest television and movie industries in the world. Analysts predict the media and entertainment market in India will grow at a CAGR of 14 percent over the next several years, and it is expected to reach USD 100 billion by 2025. With India poised for strong growth, 4K video is making headway. For everyone from a single editor to large post production houses and broadcast firms, the availability of high-bandwidth, low latency, high storage capacity post-production tools is fast becoming of critical importance.”
