Elite Brands Inc., this week announced the release of the XEEN by Rokinon 135mm T2.2 Professional Cine Lens. With this new offering, the XEEN lineup of affordable cine lenses expands to include six focal lengths: 14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and the new 135mm.

All of the XEEN lenses feature 6K ready optics with full frame coverage in durable all metal bodies with large, easy to read markings. Unified 40-degree iris rotation and 200-degree focus throw ensure consistent operation across XEEN lenses and unified gear positions make for easy and consistent follow focus use. The lenses are also color matched and all feature proprietary X-Coating technology, promising clear, consistent images across the system.

Like other XEEN lenses, the XEEN 135mm T2.2 features a 114mm non-rotating front diameter for easy use of matte boxes. An 11 blade diaphragm promises pleasing bokeh while the maximum aperture of T2.2 brings lots of light to your sensor and should produce cinematic shallow depth of field. The lens is available in mounts that are changeable to PL, Canon, Nikon, Sony E, and MFT. [image:blog_post:61505]

The XEEN 135mm T2.2 and the rest of the XEEN range feature specs comparable to other cinema lenses that cost nearly twice as much, bringing professional cinema quality optics to a more manageable price point. As should be expected with any quality cinema lens, the XEEN line is calibrated in T-stops, which give you a more accurate measure of the light actually passing through the lens, ensuring proper exposure. The XEEN lineup also meets the demands of cinematic work with smooth, fully-dampened focus and aperture control rings.

The XEEN 135mm T2.2 is scheduled to begin shipping in August, and will be available for around $2500 with a Three Year Limited Warranty. For more information, visit xeenusa.com.
