InterDrone Expo Announces InterDrone Film Festival for Drone Filmmakers

The International Drone Conference and Exposition, InterDrone,  has announced the InterDrone Film Festival and are now accepting entries for Best Drone Cinematography. If aerial video is your thing, sharpen up your drone and get applying!

Here's the scoop. The festival has rounded up nine talented judges who will be determining the best video captured with a drone in six categories: Natural Wonders, Cityscapes and Architecture, Action Sports, Acrobatics/Technical Skill, Storytelling and Reel. Awards to be given out include a People’s Choice Award in each category plus an overall Best in Show, which carries a Grand Prize of $2,000 or equivalent drone.

You've gotta enter if you want to win, and entries for the festival will need to be in no later than Friday, July 10. The cost to enter is $30 per film. The prizes don't stop there, however. The winner in each category will receive $500 and a free All-Access Pass to InterDrone, while runners-up in each category will receive $200 and a free All-Access Pass to InterDrone. The lucky People’s Choice award winner will receive $500. Finalists get a free pass to the Film Festival Reception and Expo Hall and a 30% discount on the All-Access Conference Pass.
