Our team of editors scoured the floor and among the three letter acronyms at CES, they found DJI. This is probably short for Dajiang Innovation Technology Inc. These innovators brought to CES, three products that change how you use current DJI products and one that you can really get your hands on. Starting with the three, you’ll first want to know about the DJI Ronin because it’s getting a wireless thumb controller, and as a handheld camera stabilizer, giving your gripping hands more control can make a world of difference. Then DJI introduces a 3-axis gimbal for Sony a7 cameras, they are mirrorless, full-frame cameras: a7, a7S, a7R and 7II. Then the H4-3D is a gimbal set to take a GoPro HERO4 Black onto the DJI Phantom 2 or Flamewheel.
Finally, we get to the DJI Inspire 1 camera and gimbal, this little, white, handheld stabilizer can do a lot. The camera from a DJI Inspire 1 drone is detachable, and capable of 4K resolution. The camera and gimbal attach to a handheld stabilizer and are ready to shoot again. It’s 20mm wide angle view does not give a fisheye look and can also shoot 1080p at 60fps. The handheld stabilizer has a mount for mobile monitoring and the Zenmuse X3 gimbal. The thoughts of going from ground to air and back are sure to get creators brainstorming.
Lastly, we break the rule and share some of the fun and guilty pleasure in Las Vegas, thanks to The Verge.
