PES Shares Latest Stop-Motion Film, Captured on Nikon D810

Today, American director PES (real name Adam Pesapane) shared his latest work, the stop-motion film Submarine Sandwich. The work represents the third installment of his Kickstarter-funded stop-motion cooking series, and was captured entirely using Nikon D810 DSLRs and a handful of NIKKOR lenses.

The film, successfully funded through Kickstarter, relied on some muscle to be completed. Fortunately, Nikon was the lead sponsor of the campaign and provided a new Nikon D810 Animator's Kit to be given to one of the top supporters of the project.

Adding to the legitimacy of the campaign is the background of the director. To those who aren’t familiar with PES, he is an American director and stop-motion animator known for a 2013 Oscar nomination for his short film Fresh Guacamole. He is also known for creating many short films and commercials throughout his extensive career.

It wouldn’t be a Videomaker Feature Video without a bit more about how PES made this amazing work, and fortunately there is a behind the scenes video for our intense perusal.
