As a videographer, you know the power of video to tell a story, convey emotion, and carry authority. But did you know that same power can be an awesome weapon in the fight against Ebola?
One Mobile Projector per Trainer, a US based charity founded by Videomaker Inc. CEO Matt York, has been in a dozen countries in the last seven years teaching aid organizations how to harness the power of locally originated video and cordless projectors to effect change. Tens of thousands have learned life-changing lessons through the magic of a hut wall turned into a movie screen.
OMPT has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to train and equip aid workers in West Africa. The featured video explains much more about the mission, including the types of lessons that will be taught and the gear that will be deployed.
If you have been feeling frustrated and helpless in the face of the Ebola crisis, here is something you can do to help. Please visit our Indiegogo page and consider a donation to help bring this crisis to an end. Video can make a life and death difference!
