Final Cut Pro X, Motion, and Compressor All Get Updates

Final Cut Pro X, along with its trusty support programs Motion 5 and Compressor 4, received updates this afternoon. Verion 10.1.2 of Final Cut gets a mess of new features, with an emphasis on flexibility when working with libraries. 

 

New to Version 10.1.2:

  • ?4k sharing to Vimeo
  • Import clips by dragging directly into browser
  • Export entire library as a single XML file
  • Support for Apple ProRes 4444 XQ
  • Automatic application of an ARRI embedded 3D LUT from the new AMIRA camera
  • Application of a standard (Rec. 709) look in real time to high dynamic range and wide color gamut video from ARRI, Blackmagic, Canon, and Sony cameras
  • Show only unused media option
  • Use media indicators for Compound clips, Multicam clips, and Synced clips

New to Motion 5 Version 5.1.1:

  • Support for Apple ProRes 4444 XQ
  • Improved Sequence Text behavior for animating
  • Enhance Contrast filter parameters for refined adjustments

New to Compressor 4 Version 4.1.2:

  • Support for Apple ProRes 4444 XQ
  • Increased performance when working with large batches
  • Improved responsiveness when using "Send to Compressor" feature
  • Improves performance and color accuracy when encoding H.264 files from GoPro cameras
