The NAB Show is next week. That means a lot of things: big crowds, hectic flights, sore feet, and lots of new video equipment and post-production software. There's a lot of ground to cover at the NAB Show. From the North Hall to the South Hall, from the NAB Labs' Futures Park to the Plugin Pavilion, there will be something for everyone. The best way to make it through all the exhibitors is to plan ahead. Videomaker has you covered! Here's a list of new gear and software that vendors will be showing off at the NAB Show.
Adobe Creative Cloud CC Upgrades
The Adobe booth is more like a theater than a typical convention paddock. Adobe hosts all sorts of great speakers at the NAB Show, each showcasing how they use the Adobe products in post-production work. Adobe will be showcasing brand new upgrades to both Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as other upgrades to the Adobe post-production pipeline. After Effects now has Adobe Kuler integration, brand new keying effects, an improved media browser, and the ability to create Live Text templates for Premiere Pro CC. Adobe Premiere Pro CC ups the post-production ante with new master clip effects, new masking and tracking tools, as well as Typekit support.
Boris Continuum Complete 9
Boris FX brings their latest, Boris Continuum Complete 9, to the NAB Show. Be sure to check out the new FX Browser in BCC 9, as well over 23 new transitions and 30 new filters. BCC 9 integrates with all of the most popular post-production software workflows.
Kessler Unidrive
Kessler, the makers of popular camera sliders and motion control systems, will be debuting their new Parallax and Unidrive systems. Considering the response Kessler received last year for the Cinedrive and Pocket Jib Traveler, there's sure to be some pleased videographers on the floor of this years show.
Panasonic GH4
The NAB Show is the place to go for new cameras. The Panasonic GH4 is a an interchangeable micro four thirds system camera, with a compatible interface unit for audio recording, that make it an ideal DSLR for cinematic video. Panasonic will also be showcasing their new Varicams.
Zacuto Tripod and More
Zacuto is a manufacturer known for their camera stabilization gear. So it's no surprise to find out Zacuto is announcing their own version of the grand-daddy of camera stabilization, the Zacuto Tripod. That's not all. Zacuto will also be debuting a couple of new electronic viewfinders in the Gratical LT and the Gratical HD, both OLED EVFs.
Litepanels Sola 9 and Inca 9
Litepanels is one of the top providers of LED production lights. They will be featuring a new daylight balanced light in the Sola 9, and a new tungsten balanced light in the Inca 9. Both lights are studio and field ready 9 inch fixtures, while casting brighter than a traditional 1k Fresnel. They feature smooth dimming without any color shift.
