Samsung Electronics recently announced the GALAXY NX, the first 3G/4G LTE Connected Compact System Camera (CSC). The GALAXY NX combines optical performance with connectivity capabilities, interchangeable lenses and applications based on the Android ecosystem.
The 3G/4G LTE technology of the GALAXY NX allows photographers to share professional level images whether they are on the move or at home. Due to the network connectivity, the camera will provide the user location based recommendations of photography spots and sources from a library of images taken by other photographers around the world. The NX has a 20.3 MP APS-C Sensor, a DRIMe IV Image signal processor for speed and accuracy and an array of interchangeable lenses (one capable of shooting images and movies in 3D.) It also has an Advance Hybrid Auto Focus System for accurate phase and contrast detection, a 1/6000 sec shutter speed and 8.6 fps shooting.
One interesting feature about this camcorder is that it comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, giving the user the functionality of a smartphone. This means that users can choose from various Android apps to personalize their GALAXY NX camcorder. Other notable features are the more than 30 Smart Modes settings for optimum environment capturing and an “Animated Photo” feature that connects continuous shots of up to five seconds, creating a moving GIF image.
