Pro Gear Highlight: Kino Flo Celeb 200 LED

The Celeb 200 LED is a Light Emitting Diode based lighting system for professional videographers. Like many other Kino Flo products, the Celeb 200 is also designed to reproduce colors beautifully on both high definition (HD) and film at the studio or on location. What sets Celeb 200 apart from other LEDs is that it is cool, color corrected, flicker free, noiseless in operation, compact and energy efficient.

The Celeb has been specially formulated to match the spectral distribution curves of HD film and video cameras. It is a color-correct LED with a high color rendering index of CRI 95. A full range onboard dimming system has been provided which gives a cool, flicker-free result without any shift in color temperature. A dial-in variable temperature control knob and a custom programmable 2700K to 5500K presets allow the use of a range of different color temperature settings that yield the best results.

The Celeb is slim and lightweight in design with a thickness of only 5 inches and a weight of 15 pounds (6.8 kilograms). A remote control can be plugged-in to operate the dimming controls from a distance. The Celeb has provision for center mounting which allows for 360 degrees of movement. With a built-in power supply having an input range of 100 VAC to 240 VAC, it can be used in any country. Alternatively, it can also be operated on a 24 VDC battery.

The Celeb produces more light than a 750 Watt tungsten lamp while consuming only 100 Watts. Not only is the LED more efficient regarding light generated per watt, but it is also efficient with respect to heat generated per watt of operation. Celeb is designed to prevent build-up of heat which not only make for cool operation, but also extends the life of the LED. High quality output, soft light, portability, sturdy design and efficiency make Celeb a piece of equipment for use in studio or at location.
