  1. I subscribe to this magazine since 2000 (my old address was in Fairfax, Virginia) strictly for reviews of camcorder their new technology, and video making (you call yourself videomaker right?). I stop subscribing Photography just for this matter.
I am a bit unhappy lately. I bought my new gadget camcorder Sony FDR-AX53 since March 2016, six months pass by, and yet I see no review from your magazine at all. I have to google to find some reviews from other places. Did Sony hurt or offend you on anything? why you review all others but not this new 4K Sony FDR-AX53? It’s been six months since Sony release this FDR-AX53 out, long enough to write a review, right? and yet I see nothing.

  2. Johnny –

Thank you for your comment. So glad you have been with us since 2000! Your input means a lot to us! Unfortunately we don’t have the room and resources to review every camera that is released. We don’t have a gripe with Sony, in-fact we reviewed the FDR-X100V, FS7, FS5, a7R II, a7S II and the RX10 III last year. To be honest, your comment here is the first we have had a request for a review of that camera. We hope you understand.

  3. Hi Chris,

Yes, I have read all the reviews from your magazine. what makes me a bit frustrated is you did a review on the Panasonic HC-WXF991K on your August 2016 issue. In that review you did mention comparing that new camcorder with the Sony AX33, but not one word on the new Sony camcorder AX53 which Sony releases since March 2016. This is what makes me quite upset.
Not much room and resources to review EVERY CAMERA THAT IS RELEASED? I don’t think so. With all the newly released 4K cameras you cover almost all of them except this Sony AX53 which is the 4K as well.
Say what you want to say, for me as reader from your magazine I know what I am talking about. I just think it is UNFAIR for Sony as well as reader like me, not to be able to read what I am expecting it.
You know what? this magazine is called “Videomaker” and yet I thought it is the magazine “Photography”, because 80% of the reviews are on the CAMERAs but not strictly on the CAMCORDERs (yes, I know all cameras nowsaday CAN do the video too. I have my Canon 5D mark III, but never do the video at all). Like I said I stopped subscribing to Photography long ago, just because all I need to know is about Camcorder and their new technology not about camera. I think I should switch to Photography after this membership with you expire.
