Reps from Pinnacle stopped by our office today to show off their Studio MovieBox Plus. We were quite impressed with their total hardware/software solution that also has (Plus version only) a cardiod handheld microphone with desktop stand and a green screen backdrop. So basically, you've got a video podcasting or small newsroom in a box at $149.99. We'll be reviewing this in more detail soon, but we wanted to tease you a bit. Also, the "box" aspect of the MovieBox is a USB 2.0 breakout box that is the only one of its type that pipes FireWire 400 down USB 2.0 without disrupting the device control or AV stream. There's more little surprises on the way.
