JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY announced today that its GY-HD100U 24p ProHD camcorder will be supported by Avid Technology, Inc. nonlinear editing systems to offer broadcast professionals a variety of cost-effective software editing solutions.

Avid nonlinear editing systems Avid Xpress Pro HD, Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD, Avid NewsCutter Adrenaline and Avid NewsCutter XP will all work with the GY-HD100U, the world’s first truly professional, affordable high-definition camcorder with true 24p capture and recording.
