EZQuest introduced its fast Boa 8x dual-format DVD-RW/+RW external drives today at MacWorld Expo in San Francisco. The new drives provide the highest speeds current technology allows. They write to DVD+R and DVD-R at 8x; DVD+RW and DVD-RW at 4x; CD-R at 24x; and CD-RW at 10x speeds and they read DVDs at 12x and CDs at 40x speeds. In addition, they feature new technology that offers very reliable recording during high-speed writing; precise recording onto discs that may be warped or uneven; auto-adjustable writing that minimizes deterioration of DVD-RW discs; and enhanced stability during high-speed recording and playback.
“Boa 8x drives are complete solutions for authoring video or music, transferring files from one computer to another, and backing up or archiving data,” said Ebrahim Zmehrir, EZQuest president. “They’re fast, they’re compatible with all DVD+, DVD- and CD media, and they come ready to plug in and start burning.”
