Reprinted from a Canopus press release:

Canopus Corporation today announced VideoFX Transitions, a consumer-oriented 3D video transitions software package that makes it easy for video enthusiasts to add movie-style effects to their home movies and video projects. VideoFX Transitions provides a collection of fun, creative and high-quality scene changes that are compatible with popular video editing applications, including Canopus Lets EDIT, Adobe Premiere, and Ulead MediaStudio Pro or Ulead VideoStudio.

VideoFX Transitions gives an extra level of flair to video projects and brings easy-to-use, professional-quality video transitions to the video enthusiast. The straightforward user interface makes choosing the right effect for any scene change easy and even supports the creation of custom transitions lists, so users can quickly select their favorites. VideoFX Transitions includes more than 500 ready-to-use transitions that can be easily tailored to match the videos style, mood or look. Using the intuitive SmartConfig interface, users can customize a variety of options for each transition, including lighting and shadows, the number and size of objects and the type of motion with just a few clicks of the mouse. VideoFX Transitions can also incorporate digital still images, blending them seamlessly with the video to create a personalized effect using photos as backgrounds.

“We took the complexity out of video transitions and made it so even novice video editors can add movie-style effects to their video projects,” said Robert Sharp, general manager of Canopus Corporation. “This makes VideoFX Transitions a perfect video editing add-on for the video enthusiast.”

Pricing and Availability
A downloadable version of VideoFX Transitions is available now directly from the Canopus Web site and a boxed retail version of VideoFX Transitions will be available later this month through Canopus and its authorized dealers. The suggested retail price for VideoFX Transitions is $49.95. VideoFX Transitions supports Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional operating systems.
