Metal Bassist Rudy Sarzo Becomes Spokesman for Ulead DVD Workshop

Reprinted from a Ulead press release:

Ulead Systems, Inc., a leading developer of image editing, video editing, 3D animation and DVD authoring software, today announced that Rudy Sarzo, the premiere bass player for the heavy metal band Quiet Riot, with previous stints including Ozzy Osbourne and Whitesnake, signed on to promote the upcoming version of Ulead’s professional DVD authoring software. With its launch in 2002, DVD Workshop was unique in the market as the first non-consumer DVD authoring software to offer an intuitive, creative-centric workflow for making professional DVDs. As a musician who uses DVD Workshop, Rudy Sarzo is a testament to the software’s ability to gel with the creative professional’s artistic desire to immediately enter a creative zone that’s unhampered by limited design tools, restrictive technology, or a complex interface. At the same time, the software fulfills his practical need to produce professional DVDs without a large investment in time or money.

“My passion is playing music–not learning software. That’s why I’ll use Workshop when I create Quiet Riot’s promotional DVDs,” says Cuban-born Rudy Sarzo, who began his foray into video creation in 1999 with Ulead’s MediaStudio Pro video editing software. “It’s perfect for artists like myself who want a straightforward workflow and built-in design tools. I can be spontaneous and creative without leaving the app. DVD Workshop 2 is going to be all this and more–with radical features that will take DVDs to an entirely new level of sophistication.”

DVD Workshop 2 promises to offer significantly new DVD authoring features while maintaining the intuitive, creative-centric workflow it’s known for. More detailed information on DVD Workshop 2 will be revealed in the fourth quarter of 2003.
