ScreenPlay uses Divio’s NW701 chip for coding and decoding high-quality, professional digital video during production editing.

Fully DV Bluebook compatible, the NW701 is the world’s first single-chip DV CODEC. It replaces current multi-chip solutions to enable a new generation of cost-effective DV products like ScreenPlay. The NW701 provides an unprecedented feature-set that delivers the essential digital video engine to empower real-time DV performance and quality. Its patented Divio compression technology lets ScreenPlay deliver unrivaled video quality, performance and functionality.

A turnkey editing solution, ScreenPlay is a fully optimized, stand-alone (PC independent), non-linear video-editing appliance. It features advanced Wavelet compression technology to enable corporate, event, education and “prosumer” users to process composite, S-video and optional DV-1394 data with four stereo audio channels. The device uses an intuitive interface with real-time transitions, titles, color and special effects.
