Yeah, I found a nifty fifty on craigslist which is in pristine condition for about 30 bucks less! Going to look at it today.  Thanks for your advice!

Changed my mind.  That one seems to be out of stock in most places.  Can you recommend a regular looking lavalier that does do the dual channel outut like chuckzootz mentioned without the converter?

Thanks Bill!  I will go with that.  Found it for about $18  on Adorama and will probably go with it.  Looks like it's great quality.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

I think I'll probably end up saving for the Ravelli AVTP.  Probably will last longer.

Another great audio option is the Zoom H2n.  It's got five internal mics, audio in and out, and a plethora of other great features.  It's only $200. Check it out.

Hey-I too am looking for a small camera with the requirements you give. I'm looking at the Canon T2i.  It might end up costing you around $500, but I believe it will be well worth the extra cash.  Check it out.

Is anyone on the forums selling a new or refurbished T2i?

in reply to: Canon T2i #205056

Yeah, I looked at the T3i, but didn't really think the swivel LCD would be a good thing because the swivel part of it is actually a bit of a breaking point…My thought was to attatch and external monitor to the T2i and that would be good.  I definitly don't want to buy used though-new or refurbished is the way I'm looking to go.  Thanks!  If anyone else knows of a good place to buy refurbished cheap I'd love to hear about it!

    Thanks! I'll check them out.
